MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE CONFERENCE

Greetings from Southeast Asia One Health University Network!

I am delighted to chair and cordially invite you to join the SEAOHUN 2024 International Conference on 18-19 September 2024 in Chaing Mai, Thailand. The conference theme is “One Health in Action” aiming to generate actionable outcomes, including evidence-based policy recommendations, a roadmap for resilient health workforce development, and effective community engagement strategies.

SEAOHUN is delighted to partner with the International Society for Animal Hygiene (ISAH), a group of scientists and practitioners from universities, farming and industry contributing to efficient, sustainable animal farming with healthy animals, providing wholesome food in a sound environment, to organize joint opening, keynote and plenary sessions on Day 1. SEAOHUN and ISAH conference participants will learn, share knowledge and experience, and network with One Health professionals nationally, regionally, and internationally. Participants can join any of the conference sessions organized by SEAOHUN and ISAH over the two days with no additional costs.

Abstract Submission 


We cordially invite all participants to submit abstracts for presentations at the SEAOHUN International Conference 2024. To ensure clarity and completeness in presenting your research or project, please adhere to the following abstract submission guidelines.


Submission Guidelines:


•    Theme relevance: Ensure that your abstract aligns with the conference theme: "One Health in Action."
•    
Authors: Include names, affiliations, and contact information for a corresponding author.
•    
Abstract Structure:  

      - Clearly state the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of your work.
      - Limit the abstract to a maximum o
f 300 words.
      - Include 3-5 keywords relevant to your research.
•    
In the submission, please indicate the preferred presentation format: oral or poster.
•    
Font: Times New Roman; Size: Title (14 points), Author names (10 points), Authors’ affiliations (8 points), Body (12 points)
•  
 Language: All abstracts must be written in English.
•

Review and Selection Process:


•    All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind peer-review process conducted by the International Scientific Committee
•    Authors of accepted abstracts will receive notification via email.
•    Selected abstracts will be presented in either oral or poster sessions at the conference. Pre-recorded presentations will not be accepted.
•    Upon acceptance, presenters must register and complete the payment process.

Target Participants:

The SEAOHUN 2024 International Conference is tailored for a diverse audience of approximately 200 participants who are interested in any holistic approach to complex health challenges. This inclusive gathering will attract professionals and experts from Southeast Asian countries and beyond, creating a dynamic space for collaborative discourse. The envisioned participants include the students, academic leaders and researchers, policy makers, as well as administrators and educators representing both public and private educational institutions, government agencies, and departments.

This targeted and diverse participant profile ensures a vibrant and impactful conference, where the exchange of ideas and experiences will contribute to the advancement of One Health practices in the Southeast Asian context.
