2 PhD positions available! with Ausvet Europe

Ausvet Europe is offering 2 fully-funded PhD positions to work on their new TRANSFORM research project for 3 years.

The two PhD projects aim at using a market- and data-driven approach to develop decision-support tools tailored to low- and middle-income countries to help producers tackle the challenges of antimicrobial resistance and transboundary animal diseases. The PhD projects also include a socio-economic assessment of the decision-support tools developed and implemented as part of TRANSFORM.

The two projects will use poultry production in Indonesia and Vietnam as case studies.

• PhD 1 will focus on the development and evaluation of decision-support tools aiming at reducing antibiotic usage in the poultry sector.

• PhD 2 will focus on the development and evaluation of decision-support tools aiming at improving the management of transboundary animal diseases.
