The ISOHR is an international meeting that aims to promote human, animal and environmental health through the interdisciplinary ‘One Health’ approach to collaborative research in both China and neighboring countries. It also seeks to foster the development of student and early career researchers interested in One Health through international research collaborations and information-sharing. This symposium aims to facilitate a shared understanding of transdisciplinary synergies and multi-sectoral collaboration within and between countries to tackle the growing threats of both emerging zoonotic infectious diseases and related issues across six broad themes:
1. Emerging infectious diseases and One Health 2. Antimicrobial resistance 3. Food safety 4. Environmental health 5. Biosecurity/health security 6. Governance and policy (including the International Health Regulations)
The Symposium will take place from 23-24 November in Guangzhou, which will also offer a wide variety of opportunities for students and young researchers including presentation of their work, and scientific networking. Guangzhou city has incredible cuisine, unique culture and long history. We hope you enjoy your time here and that you are inspired to explore the scientific program as well as the natural beauty and delicious food of China.
