Dr. Hidayatulfathi Othman, Deputy President of MyOHUN, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)


Professor Hidayatulfathi Othman holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), specializing in Medical Entomology and Applied Parasitology.


She is the author of more than 115 scholarly publications and has played an active leadership role in advancing the One Health agenda in the region. She previously served as an Executive Member of the Southeast Asia One Health University Network and currently serves as Deputy President of the Malaysia One Health University Network (MyOHUN).


As a lecturer and researcher at UKM, she collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health and local municipalities on dengue mobilisation, while also serving as an independent consultant to insecticide and pest control companies. Her work with UNICEF focuses on applying the One Health approach to mitigate the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on children. Her latest work with Wellcome Trust is looking at the impact of climate change towards mangrove conservation.
