Ahead of the 11th edition of the Advanced Course on Diagnostics (ACDx) to be held this year from September 12-17, 2021, a 3-day virtual event will be organized: Advanced Course on Diagnostics (ACDx) Special Edition on COVID-19 on March 15-17, 2021 - 6.00 pm (Bangkok)
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of a fair access to efficient diagnostic tests to rapidly detect positive cases and optimize prevention and treatment.
International health experts will discuss screening strategies put in place in different regions of the world and share the key considerations for building country capacity and preparedness for a rapid and effective test implementation, in both high and low/middle income countries.
They will also address the central position of diagnostic testing in the context of vaccines introduction and the new variants circulation. International, regional, and local collaborations are key to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. The Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator will be used as an example to illustrate the need for a multilateral cooperation to keep everyone safe around the world.
