Dr. Abdul Rahman Omar, Chair of MyOHUN, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)

Dr. Abdul Rahman Omar (aro) is the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is also a Professor of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the Department of Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology with more than 20 years of experience in teaching and research in the area of virology and immunology. Before serving as the Dean, he was the Director of the Institute of Bioscience at UPM, a Centre of Excellence in Animal Vaccines and Therapeutics under the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Malaysia. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia, Malaysia in 1991 and Ph.D. in Cellular Immunology from Cornell University, the USA in 1997.
