Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Hien, Nong Lam University

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Hien is Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Nong Lam University, Vietnam.

He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and worked as a researcher before pursuing postgraduate studies abroad. He completed a master’s degree in Preventive Veterinary Medicine at the University of California (USA) and a doctoral degree in Veterinary Epidemiology at the University of Guelph (Canada), with research focused on infectious disease modeling.

Since returning to Vietnam in 2012, he has been actively involved in teaching, research, and capacity building in veterinary epidemiology, public health, and zoonotic diseases. He has also contributed to national and international One Health initiatives and is an active supporter of One Health collaboration in Vietnam.
