Assoc. Prof. Dr. Malavanh Chittavong, Coordinator of LAOHUN, National University of Laos (NUoL)

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Malavanh Chittavong is a prominent academic and researcher at the Faculty of Agriculture (FAG), National University of Laos (NUoL), currently serving as the Coordinator of the Lao One Health University Network (LAOHUN). With an extensive background in Animal Science, she holds a PhD from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, specializing in animal nutrition and management.

At the Faculty of Agriculture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Malavanh leads research initiatives focused on sustainable agricultural practices, livestock health, and zoonotic disease prevention. As a key figure within SEAOHUN, she is instrumental in fostering multisectoral collaboration to strengthen the One Health workforce in Lao PDR.

Her work emphasizes bridging the gap between animal health and public health, contributing to numerous international publications on food security and infectious disease control. She remains dedicated to mentoring the next generation of One Health professionals to address regional health threats.
