Dr. Nur Indah Ahmad obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universiti Putra Malaysia, her Master of Veterinary Science from Utrecht University, and her PhD from the University of Edinburgh. She is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of the Department of Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Dr. Nur Indah specializes in Veterinary Public Health, with a strong focus on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), zoonotic bacterial diseases, human-animal interactions, and One Health. A passionate advocate for One Health, she frequently engages with the public to educate communities on AMR and the importance of responsible antimicrobial use.
Her dedication to bridging the gap between science and society has made her a prominent voice in promoting One Health initiatives in Malaysia. She is currently the Coordinator for the National Coordinating Office of Malaysia One Health University Network (MyOHUN).
