Dr. Teuku Reza Ferasyi is the Dean and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. He currently serves as General Secretary of the Association of Indonesian Veterinary Medicine Faculties (AFKHI) and is a Member of the Indonesian Veterinary Council.
Since 2018, Dr. Ferasyi has led the Center for Tropical Veterinary Studies – One Health Collaboration Center (CENTROVETS-OHCC), Universitas Syiah Kuala, under the coordination of the Indonesia One Health University Network (INDOHUN). He has been actively involved in various regional One Health initiatives, including activities organized by the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN), where he has participated in workshops and served as a judge for the Regional Student Competition. Recently, he was appointed to represent the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA) as a member of the Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations (FAVA) Standing Committee for the FAVA Strategy 2026–2030 on One Health Strategy.
His main areas of interest include the application of the One Health approach to antimicrobial resistance control, zoonotic disease prevention, and the development of integrated One Health surveillance systems.Laboratory Animal Science (2011–2018) and the Country Coordinator for USAID-EPT PREDICT project (2011–2019). These roles have been instrumental in promoting professional and ethical standards in research.
