Asst. Prof. Dr. Waraphon Phimpraphai, Kasetsart University


Asst. Prof. Dr. Waraphon Phimpraphai is Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kasetsart Unversity. She has been teaching as a lecturer at the Department of Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kasetsart University.


She is also a Director of Master program in Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health Informatics. She is specialized in the studies of Participatory epidemiology and One Health in both Thailand and Southeast Asia. She has expertise in field trials for participatory epidemiology, value chain analysis and stakeholder mapping.


She mainly worked on both zoonotic diseases such as Rabies as well as transboundary disease including African swine fever, Lumpy skin disease and African horse sickness. She currently works on community-based participatory approach for stray dogs’ management to enhance rabies free zone in Suphan Buri and Community ASF Biosecurity Interventions with FAO and Department of Livestock Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Thailand.
