Empowering High School Teachers with One Health Core Competencies: A Look Back at KU's Training of the Trainers

Throwing back to March 9 – 10, 2024, Kasetsart University (KU) with support from Chevron, and collaboration with the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) hosted a "Training of the Trainers: Integrating One Health Core Competencies (OHCC) for high school teachers from 10 member schools. The teachers were actively engaged in the One Health facilitator training, diving deep into the concept, and agreeing to bring OHCC into their classrooms. They're all set to lead their students towards a healthier future! Now, the momentum continues as these pilot teachers gear up to implement OHCC in their classes using modules installed on an online platform. Following this, each school will select four students for an exclusive OHCC training session planned for June 2024.

This upcoming OHCC training for students offers them an opportunity to delve into One Health principles and become health ambassadors in their schools and communities.
