SEAOHUN2019 : One Health orientation workshop in Lao PDR

With the support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS) under the Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI) Embassy Regional Grants Program, Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) is working to strengthen the One Health workforce in Lao PDR. SEAOHUN in collaboration with Laos Ministry of Health and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, its country networks, and Tufts University is organizing the One Health orientation workshop on 19-20 March 2019 at Don Chan Palace Hotel & Convention, Vientiane, Lao PDR.

The two-day workshop aims to a) introduce SEAOHUN and its role in the region to develop One Health workforce, b) introduce OH concepts and core competencies applied in SEAOHUN member countries, c) present the assessment findings of National University of Laos and University of Health Sciences, d) identify and prioritize needs and concerns, and e) build strong relationships among academic and governmental interprofessional colleagues. There are over 55 participants from the ministries, universities and developing agencies attended the workshop.
