Updated: Feb 11, 2021

Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) and its country networks Indonesia One Health University Network (INDOHUN), Malaysia One Health University Network (MyOHUN), Thailand One Health University Network (THOHUN), and Vietnam One Health University Network (VOHUN) participated in the celebration of the opening of One Health Research Center at National Yang-Ming University on 24 September 2019. This is the first research center in Taiwan dedicated to addressing One Health challenges and promoting One Health education. We also presented at the inaugural Taiwan One Health International Conference (25-26 September) on the development of SEAOHUN and OHUN activities to advance the development of One Health workforce since our establishment in 2011. The conference was not only participated by researchers, faculty members, students in Taiwan but also representatives from Taiwan government agencies, U.S. CDC, non-governmental agency, and the private sector. SEAOHUN/OHUNs had a fruitful discussion with key leaders of National Yang Ming University in establishing Taiwan One Health University Network to collaborate with SEAOHUN/OHUNs to improve One Health workforce capacity with cross-sectoral competencies to effectively prevent, detect and respond. We sincerely thanked National Yang Ming University for warm and generous hospitalities and look forward to working with TAOHUN, an unofficial network name of Taiwan One Health University Network, to combat all hazards and emerging threats.
